My name is Scott Douglas Weathersby. I live in Bainbridge, Georgia, and I am a skilled contractor with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. I was diagnosed with leukemia in 2000 and this is my story. Ill health can strike anyone, anywhere, without discrimination. And in times of health crises, we can also benefit from others, exemplifying the non-discriminatory nature of giving. After undergoing medical procedures and enduring chemo and its side effects, I’ve come to understand the importance of balancing the heart, mind, and body. The opportunity to help others is my way of reciprocating. By sharing my experiences with others facing health challenges, I hope to help them navigate their journeys. As a survivor of 22 years, it is time for me to give back, thus continuing the cycle of resilience and reciprocity that life is all about.
